Widgetnest is a widget shoppe. We are widget designers and developer. We understand the power of modularity and the strength of information aggregation. We want to provide powerful, easy to use tools for internet users.
Internet users are migrating services like the Google Home Page or MySpace. People are customizing their homepages and public profiles to reflect their interest and personality. A large part of this personalization of the web involves widgets. Widgets are easy to use and can provide easy access to dynamic, up to date content.
We take widget development seriously. When a client wants a widget, we take the proposed idea and then climb to the top of a nearby volcano. After meditating and fasting for many weeks, we determine the best solution. We then work diligently, night and day, finding the right materials and forging them together in to the perfect widget. Each of our hand-crafted widgets is of top quality, giving hope to mankind that there are still truly great artisans and widget masters on the earth.
Feel free to get in touch. We appreciate feedback and personal connections with others.
Our team, based in Rexburg, ID, is made up of a Guru, a Ninja and a Wizard. Together we create elegant, useful and powerful widgets to help internet users and developer have easy access to the information they need and want.
David LeMieux - Flash Guru As project leader David has the impossible task of delegating work and sitting back and watching others work hard all the while taking credit for the successes and none for the failures. As the Flash Guru David is responsible for the development of the Flash widgets as well as JavaScript alternatives. David works closely with both Chris and Jared to make sure everything connects.
Jared Daines - Scripting Wizard Jared is in charge of taming server daemons and casting scripting spells at SQL databases. As Scripting Wizard Jared is in control of the backbone mainframe of Widgetnest. This includes, but is not limited to, user control, admin systems, CMS, and all the other cool tools that we will integrate - like analytics and rss reading robots of doom.
Chris Hall - Design Ninja Hi-ya! As Design Ninja Chris throws the five point ninja star of Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, Proximity and Flow in to the forehead of the Widgetnest public face. Chris is in charge of identity design and branding. If time permits he also helps with the actual building of pages and the skinning of widgets. Chris strangled the Ugly, Demonic Moster of Logo Design.
